N8 Equipment Database
This equipment portal has been developed as part of the N8 commitment to promote the sharing of publicly-funded research assets.
It is a fully searchable online database which can be used to locate and request access to research equipment and facilities across the N8 university partnership.
Who can use the system?
The database is freely open to anyone to search, including researchers, research managers, funding bodies and policy makers.
How to find equipment
The database uses a simple three level hierarchy (designated as Class →Order→ Genus) to classify equipment by its primary research function. Groups of related equipment can be found by browsing the classification or by entering keywords into the search box. Records can then be further refined by classification term, location or keyword. Contact details are given for all equipment to enable contact regarding availability.
